Latet (To Give) - was established in order to reduce poverty, for a better and just society, by providing assistance to needy populations, mobilizing Israeli civil society towards mutual responsibility, and leading change in the national priorities.

The suggested activity for students
  • “Aid For Life” – Social support and distribution of food packages to needy Holocaust survivors, including visits or phone calls on a regular basis. Required capabilities: sensitivity and patience for elderly populations, the ability to accommodate “one on one” activities, weekly perseverance, and long-term commitment.

  • “Latet Youth” – guidance of youth groups in an organization working towards fostering the values of volunteering, giving, and social entrepreneurship among the Israeli youth. Regular meetings twice a week in the afternoons (4 weekly hours). Required capabilities: The ability to lead youth groups in social action and engagement; guidance or educational activity experience is a plus. The position demands 170 annual hours (it is possible to receive an additional scholarship of ILS 5000 on behalf of Latet Youth).

 

Acceptance to all programs is conditional on an acceptance interview and participation in training programs before beginning the volunteer work.

Activity Days: Sunday to Thursday | Hours of Operation: 

Youth Organization: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Life Assistance: Depending on the hours agreed upon with the Elderly Volunteer Visitor (Flexible)
